Description
Loctite® technology strengthens the assembly of two or more parts by filling all the space between mating surfaces with a single-component liquid which chemically self-hardens at room temperature into a tough heat-and-solvent-resistant structural solid. From among the various types of products, the most common products are listed below. Forms tough, flexible gaskets directly on the flange. Offers excellent adhesion to oily surfaces. Low odor, non-corrosive, low volatility. Withstands temperatures to 260°C (500°F) intermittent. Resistant to most chemicals and solvents. Fill gaps to 6.35mm (0.25’’). Typical applications include valve covers, rocker covers, oil pans, water pumps, end seals, intake manifolds, and rear axle housings. Excellent adhesive for bonding and repairing fabricated silicone gaskets.
