Description

A continuous real-time 24/7 monitoring of water concentration in lubricating oil. The water-in-oil sensor with individual alarm settings allows early identification of any abnormal water concentration and immediate detection of sudden seawater ingress to proactively prevent corrosion. The sensor can be used for various application systems: diesel engines, gearboxes and hydraulic systems, and can monitor the environmentally acceptable lubricants (EALs) which this sensor is the best suitable tool to measure the water in oil concentration. As the infrared sensor AHHOI works on the principle of infrared waves, it is possible to determine water in all three states: saturated, emulsified and free. The content of water is determined in molecular form in the expanded measurement range of up to 10,000 ppm/1.0 vol.%. Installation of the intelligent water-in-oil sensor AHHOI can effectively contribute to sustainability of the vessel’s engine operation allowing optimized condition-based maintenance intervals, minimized downtime, increased productivity, real-time statistics/ trendline and reduced oil sampling.
